In honour of Chemo #5, which was just a little over a week ago on Wednesday, September 19th, I decided to pen a little ditty which I shared on my Mitch's Journey Facebook page. I forgot to share my song, well, not really MY song, on my blog so that those of you who are not linked up to my Mitch's Journey Facebook page wouldn't miss out. I'm sure most of you have heard the song Mambo #5 by Lou Bega. This is loosely, and I mean loosely, based on this catchy tune from 1999. I'll wait for you to get the tune in your head... Ready? Good luck getting it out now!
Ladies and gentlemen
Today is Chemo #5
One, two, three, four, five
Everybody in the van, so come on lets ride
To the Cross place around the corner
The docs say I need some drugs and stuff
But I really don’t wanna
Side effects like I have sometimes
I must stay strong, there’s no time to whine
I take dexa, ondansa, maxa and emenda
And as I continue you know it’s getting better
So what can I do? I really beg you my Lord.
To me puking is just not a sport.
Anything tried, it’s all good let me take it
Please nausea let’s crush it
A little bit of chemo in my life
A whole lot of Bradley by my side
A whole lot of faith is all I need
A whole lot of support is what I see
A little bit of playing in the sun
A little bit of snoring all night long
A whole of positivity
A whole lot of strength makes me who I am
